This weekend should have seen our intrepid gravity racers speeding down the hill! But as you know we have had to cancel due to Covid 19.
We have refunded any competitor that asked for one, some donated their fee to cover any costs we have incurred organising the event and the rest have asked us to hold their fee until the event can be staged. We are hopeful of being able to host the event next year and will keep you updated on this as things progress.
In light of what is happening across the country we have the unfortunate news that we, as the Organising Committee, have decided that we can no longer go ahead with the Coleby Downhill Challenge 2020.
We have thought long and hard about what is in the best interests for the Competitors, Organisers, the Village and general public. The decision has not been taken lightly but has been made in accordance with Government guidelines in relation to the current outbreak of Coronavirus/ COVID-19 in the UK and the need to avoid unnecessary strain on our public services such as the Police and NHS.
